Directing

Amy Heckerling - Cluless, Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Jonathan Levine - 50/50, THe Wackness

David Lynch - Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead

Terrence Malick - The Tree of Life, The Thin Red Line, Days of Heaven, Badlands

Darren Aranofsky - Black Swan, The Wrestler, The Fountain, Requiem for a Dream

I admire Darren Aronofsky and his ability to tell such a wide variety of stories. I particularly respond to The Wrestler and find the transformation of Randy stunning and heartbreaking. Aronofsky's character study of this man is perfection.
- Mia Niebruegge, Director, SNOWPLOW

Producing

Pieter Jan Bruegge - Heat, The Insider

Stuart Cornfeld - Tropic Thunder, The Big Year

Anne Garefino - South Park

Eric Watson - Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain

Philip Lee - The Dark Knight, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

Philip Lee is the type of Producer who sees an action line in a script and doesn't ask, "Is this necessary?", but asks, "How can we make this even better?" When Christopher Nolan wanted to flip a semi-truck end-over-end, Lee put together a team that not only did it safely, but made it a visual spectacle for a captivated audience. Alongside Christopher Nolan, Philip Lee put together a team that could make anything possible. That is the kind of producing I long to do, and have begun doing with the brilliant team on SNOWPLOW.

Matthew Libatique - Straight Outta Compton, Black Swan, Cowboys and Aliens

Rachel Morrison - Fruitvale Station, Cake, Dope

Rachel Morrison, by far one of my favorite cinematography alumni from AFI, does not only inspire me as a female cinematographer who has found success despite the glaring odds, but more importantly as an artist who has provided the perfect eye into each story world that she has encountered -
